Kimberley Byrd

Kim is a founding partner of Tennant Risk Services and has been involved since 1987.  A professional liability broker, she specializes in the healthcare segment with expertise in hard-to-place accounts.  She has strong carrier relationships and over twenty years of experience in professional liability.  She is a Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU) and is a licensed Insurance Producer and Excess & Surplus Lines Broker.  She started in the industry as an underwriter and also has experience on the reinsurance side.

Kim has served on carrier advisory boards and is a member of PLUS (the Professional Liability Underwriting Society).

She earned a B.A. in Economics from Bates College and has an MBA from the University of Connecticut. 

She is on the Board of the Hartford Stage, on the Vestry of St. John’s Episcopal Church and is involved in a number of other community organizations.  She also runs and plays golf whenever possible.  Kim is married with two children.  You may not know:  Kim is very well travelled and grew up overseas, including part of her childhood in Turkey.
